True Freedom Does Come with Great Responsibility

With our rights does come responsibility more then even in this day and age when we have a government with an itchy trigger finger. I am not for censorship on TV, Radio or on the internet. There is also a fine line we have to draw. For all of us who want to keep a wholesome websites and blogs. We have a moral obligation to delete comments advertising porn. We have a duty to take down content that calls for violence. I am for people speaking their minds. I avoid swearing cuss words in front of my kids. I am free to speak my mind in my home in front of my kids. By I am also responsible with what I say too.

We have God given rights. with those rights we have responsibilities too. We all have freedom of speech. We have to use it responsible manner too. We cannot yell fire in a crowded theater if there is no fire. We all have the right to keep and bear arms. Just because it is legal to own guns does not give me the right to shoot out my neighbors windows defacing property and putting other people in harms way. We may demand our rights for whatever reason. When we demand our rights. We are going to have to accept responsibility that comes with those rights.

One of the problems Ron Paul will run into when he becomes the next President of the United States. Many people will be disillusioned with rights being entitlements thinking food stamps, welfare, healthcare and public housing. If we want him to give us back our liberties whether it be civil or economic freedoms. We will have to accept personal responsibility that goes with it. Thant means being on our own without goverment assistance or oversight. Weaning people of dependence of the goverment telling them they have to start taking responsibility for their life is the most compassionate thing to do.

This means no nanny state government. If a woman is really being sexually harassed on the job. Just kick them in the groin. They cannot rely on the goverment to do something they should be doing themselves. That is resolving problems on our own and not looking to the bureaucracy for answers. Freedom demands personal responsibility. If we want our rights back. We have to accept the responsibility that comes with it. That means working and solving problems on our own. That means charity being the role of the church and the family, not the Welfare State. Healthcare between a doctor and patient. No third party like the goverment or insurance company. That means we are on our own.

One of the downsides in the beginning of a Ron Paul presidency is accepting personal  responsibility for what the goverment role was at one time. The only great society is not a Welfare State stamping out poverty. It is freedom and personal responsibility is the truly the best society, not a great society.

  1. There will always be people who, for whatever reason, need help. Helping these people may not be the responsibility of government but, it is the moral duty of a civiliized society. How we perceive the suffering of our fellow humans is what defnes our humanity.

I enjoy reading your blogs. Keep up the good work.

  2. ...there is nothing wrong with a properly constructed, ethically consistent, constitutionally derived government which follows the rules and intent of the governing document...

...and using sexual harassment in the workplace to justify the collapse of good government would be stupid,...there is a great deal to be proud of with regard to some of the steps taken to enhance equality in our society,...that alone is not what makes this government corrupt,...and the sexual harassment laws contribute to a more balanced playing field in the workplace and with regard to a fairer, more equitable workplace.

It is the treasonous, duplicitous betrayal of their oaths of office that qualify this government for legal, constitutional removal from office,...Supreme Court, down through both houses of congress and the big guy himself,...
...all impeached and imprisoned if necessary,..
