Rolling Blackouts in Texas Ordered By the State WIth Near Freezing Temperatures

I wonder if the New EPA regulations that kicked in January 2nd are responsible for the rolling blackouts in Southeast Texas. The State of Texas will be experiencing winter weather conditions all week with snow in the forecast later this week. Were is the global warming?
The Electric Reliability Council of Texas has ordered Power plants to do rolling blackouts through the day to compensate the use of power. I wonder if these new EPA regulations and the US government now taking over issuing plant permits for power plants and oil refineries had anything to do with it. I am getting really suspicious.
I remember years ago when California had its rolling blackouts under the hoax of high usage of electricity because the regulations favored the energy giants. I heard ENRON executives were having a laugh seeing the people suffer while ripping off the people in California. I do not see rolling blackout happening in counties and states that deal with winter weather. If the new EPA rules are behind these rolling blackouts. Someone will answer.
If this is a scam to give the perception there is not enough power to go around  like they did in California  years ago so we can accept higher electric bills. We need to slap it down real fast. The lack of electricity is not the issue. It is a bureaucracy gone wild called the EPA forcing its will on Texas that must be stopped. The EPA can take their carbon footprint theory and shove it

  2. is this why my fucking electricity went off at 6:27am this morning when I was getting ready for work?? stumbling around in a cold ass dark house right out of the shower. I looked outside and the whole neighborhood was dark and there was no snow or ice on the ground. whoever thought of this idea needs the living shit beat out of them and then have them put outside during these sub freezing temps..

  3. My understanding is that this is more to do with gas reserves than electricity. We received an email in Dallas asking us reduce our gas usage yesterday so they didn't run out totally. The 15 minute rolling brown outs started today to effectively reduce the gas usage. There is logic in their reasoning but you're right in as much as this may become twisted at a later date.

  4. perhaps if they really are running out of gas, maybe they should let those wind turbines farms pick up the slack and stop only allowing 33% of the power generated by them to enter the grid. At least that's what I was told by an insider.

  5. California had a problem because of Enron. Enron told producers to shut off capacity so that they could drive rates up. You have a governor who is anti-regulation. Normal capitalism only provides energy at 100% of normal capacity. You need to provide for 115% of capacity to prepare for emergencies, this requires regulation. You get what you vote for.

  6. Californians just bent over and took, while Enron laughed and floated news stories about power shortages and how we needed to build more power plants and refineries if we were ever going to keep up with the growing demand and all manner of BULLSHIT like that.

Then it turned out ERON (and a few others) were basically attacking California and it's people and RIPPING them off for around 9 billion dollars which of course is peanuts nowadays.

The state under some guy named Gray Davis was going to sue and recover some of the money...but the power interests got him kicked out of office and installed the Governator because it was going to be a lot cheaper to buy an election and get Arnold to stop any recovery action than it was to pay the money they owed...

You can't make this shit up. Just search "ERON california palast" and do some reading.

I will be interested to see if Texans take it up the ass the same way Californians did or if they wise up and do something about it...my money is on a the frozen ass reaming...

Gas reserves, my ass. Why are they short gas in Texas? Traders or actual usage...?

  7. It ain't just east Texas...reports are that Marfa, in far west Texas, is alsp having rolling blackouts what with maybe the lowest temperatures in city history. Supposedly, city water tanks have frozen over...

  8. Dont buy into this BS. Anyone who believes this crap needs to have their head examined!

  9. Why are they short gas in Texas?

Because the government lies about natural gas in storage to keep the price, and inflation, artificially low. They figured rising temperatures (global warming) would skate them onside. But global warming is their own propaganda. What actually happened is colder weather caught them out in a lie.

  10. Good Day to you kind folks in Texas,

Rolling brown-outs are a distraction, one of many, to keep you from learning about "POST GLACIAL REBOUND EFFECT (PGRE).

Please look into this, you will find that is important, real, and more pressing than a rolling brown-out.

Take care and May God bless those follow up on the above,
    Mike K.

  13. Gas shortage? Give me a break. I see thousands of gas wells. In fact it drove the price from around $10 to under $4. Why$ Too much supply. Tell the Power Brokers electricity is CHEAP!

  14. Increase regulation to control the bad guys while still allowing competitive bidding and business--AND eliminate public trading of electricity from the markets! Water and electricity should not be tradeable commodities!
